Oh, recently, I did a virus scan with kaspersky, then installed audacity software, then this morning some vista updates. I usually tap it repeatedly, But I've tried just holding it down as well for really long periods of time- nothing seems to make a difference. So this time I'm going to disable the Windows Auto Update feature... At this point I held down the power button and shut the machine off completely, since I assumed something had gone wrong.
