Good Luck and Cheers. You're never mean, Anna. :D In general, I completely agree with you. :) In other news though, I just took the CPU up to 4.5GHz, on the I never tried RMA, because most of peeps still have the trouble afterwhile, so loosing my cpy for a week or a month wasent worth the assel. sometimes things get stuck, don't update. From your workaround, it appears the problems occur when your system goes into a power saving state. I've used this CPU on my MSI mobo and overclocked with ease. I find it hard to believe I've passed all Prime95 tests which leaves me to believe my OC settings But I've OC'ed with ease with a cheap Asrock mobo several years ago lol.
To correct concern, head over to Realtek and download "High Definition Audio Codecs" where titled "Vista, Windows7 Driver (32/64 bits) Driver only (ZIP file)" and then the "ATI HDMI Audio Device" I'd say faulty sensor but the heatsink (think it's northbridge) did feel quite hot. Have not tried returning the clock speeds yet, is there an easy way to do that? When they first started happening, I didn't know what to do.
