So I've consolidated the best resources that I've found on the Smithfraud this blog. any ideas? The virus displays the message as a desktop background: A fatal error in IE has occured at 0028:C0011E36 in VXD VMM<01> + 00010E36. After rebooting in normal mode, I still had no control over my desktop. I am in desperate need of assistance on this one!!!!! I fixed those with HiJack. IE worked fine in safe mode On advice from Googled sites I also found and deleted "msole32.exe" and "bsw.exe" HiJack showed a search assistant (startsearches.net) to be hijacking my browser. Am using Mozilla Firefox although IE-6 still on machine. Are you looking for the solution to your computer problem?
