After tryin all the fixes mentioned, I called my internet provider. Then for a more permanent solution, I removed the stuck-on surface from the mousepad which left just fabric underneath. This should stop anyone from continuing to access your laptop through Remote Desktop. I recorded it and snagged another image (attached). Enable your virus protection software if it's disabled, and run a full system scan. Or did you recently install any software? The mouse goes crazy, and stats clicking things - most of the time on the start button.
