Mapping Drives - Password Issue
Once I did that the system stopped reverting back to ‘incorrect' settings. Try pinging the server with both IP and NetBIOS. I think it is not well written script since if you have other drive mappings besides m: and n: they will be blown away by the first part of the script. Windows 7 Forgets Mapped Drive Credentials
The first user name (laptop, usally connected wireless) is "Antoinne", the second user name (desktop connected by wire through router) is "Informatio CM". I'm imagining this to be the case. Any suggestions? The default value is that the relevant policy is left unset, and that creates this problem when you wish to automatically log in to some SMB shares.
There must be a way to solve this problem. I checked the names and made sure that both user names are also users with sufficient rights on the syno box. Check the Credential Manager and look at the saved credentials, it should now say "Enterprise" after persistence and should survive multiple reboots! It looks like that somehow old entries are causing this problem... What Are Network Credentials Windows 10 Just in case, is there anything still showing in Credential Manager's vault? Initially, when mapping the drive, I had marked "Connect using different credentials", and entered the required userid without domain. I also using the "Share Wizard" and grant "Homegroup" Read/Write access. This worked for me and I appreciate your help. My computer is not a member of the domain, but I access domain resources. The laptop, when rebooted, needs a manual login.
