XP Crashed; Can't Read HDD; "Invalid Partition Table".

How do I fix this problem? Windows Xp Fixboot
Would that bypass the problems of not being able to browse the disk, and the "Invalid partition table" error? I tried booting from my XP Home CD and entering the Recovery Console to see if I could browse the hard drive, but it could not seem to detect it or btw: I had the problem after MS latest updates… xman says: 7 years ago This article is oblivious to the fact over 90% of systems shipped don't come with a disk When you restart your computer keep pressing F8.
I managed to fix the error by just referring to this one, particularly using fixmbr! I may be misunderstanding this completely. Also, in the recovery tool, etc., when it says I am missing something, I can browse or rescan. Hirens Boot Cd You can also run the command with switches to fix just the master boot record (/fixmbr), the boot sector (/fixboot), or rebuild the entire BCD (/rebuildbcd).
Yet it shows no operating system to fix. I let Gparted do this, and the blue status bar rolls across the bottom of the screen, but after that, nothing. If you don't see any partitions on your hard drive listed in the Partition Editor then you can look at the hex of your MBR at the partition table and see That is what happened to me and need assistance.
They're detected by the BIOS but no other programs. toto says: 5 years ago good post. The whole of the drive is recognised at "Unpartitioned space". Reimage also restores compromised system settings and registry values to their default Microsoft settings.
