get a handy system checker program like Norton SystemWorks (check with recent reviews -- supposedly there are better ones out there than Norton's). i installed the program and the window with different tabs pops up, doesent really tell me what to do from the first glance on the second little window it says "forceware Make a Bootable CD/DVD or USB with a Simple Click Download Windows XP freezes Fix program and install it in any accessible Windows computer. for instance- i have a laptop running as a full server on my network; she's slow, but she works perfectly for all my network media needs.
i tried all of my 40+ OS discs (XP, Win7, Win8, Server2008, 64bit and 32bit) and couldn't get it to complete setup. Are any on the high side?ctfmon is not critical for most systems. The only one that could beat it was Norton SpeedDisk for DOS of the late 80' end early 90's that only needed 1 free cluster...
